THE PIAKO SWAMP AMD MR LARNACH, M.H.R.
To the Editor.
_ Sir, —With Mr Larnach’s election pledges ringing in our ears, it is interesting to witness Ins sudden affection for the Ministry in relation to the Piako Swamp job, which in intensity is only surpassed by the brotherly love subsisting between Mr Larnach, Mr Fitzroy, Mr Stafford, and the other squatters in the House, who, one and all, ere supporting the Government in the private and illegd sate of 83,000 acres of land to Mr Thos. Russell and his co-spemlators. Was not Mr Larnach elected on the “Macandrew ticket?” or did my eyes and ears deceive me at election time ?-1 am, &c., Inquisitive, Dunedin, June 29. -
