THE LABOR MARKET.

To the Editor.

Sib, —I hope you will pay attention to what I say, as I am a poor, distressed man, actually starving—myself and my family. I expect to be thrown out on the street, myself and my family, for rent. I have tried every firm in Dunedin and outskirts of the town, and cannot get one day's work. lam a strong man, willing to do pick and shovel work or any other general work a man can do. I hope the Government will take this into consideration and find the poor men of Dunedin some work, as there are hundreds in want as well as me.—l am, &c, A Distressed One. Dunedin, June 28.
