Nelson, June 21. The Interprovincial Regatta Committee have decided to hold their regatta in January. There will be a champion fouroared outrigger race, Ll5O, three miles and a straight course; a whaleboat race, LSO and silver cup; four oared inrigged gig race, LSO and silver cup; pair-oared outrigger race, L2O; coasters* race, LSO and silver cup; and other events.

Greymouth, June 22, At an influential meeting of the committee of District Oddfellows, held here to consider the new Friendly Societies Bill, a number of alterations were proposed, which will be submitted to the committee of the several branches of the Friendly Societies on Friday next. The proposed amendments will afterwards be forwarded to the Government.
