The amount of revenue received at the Customhouse on goods cleared for consumption this day was 11,800 9s 4d.
_ There was a large attendance of merchants, shipping agents, Ac., at Messrs M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co/s sale of ship property in the estate of the late Mr G. F. Reid. The Martha Beid, of 80 tons, built in Tasmania in 1875, was purchased by J. and T. Meek (Oamarn). for 11,650 the Edith Reid, of 75 tons, built in Tasmania in 1874 by Forsyth and Hatch, for 11,326; and the Huon Belle, of 42 tons, built in 1864, to Guthrie and 1 raach, for 1610. The Tauranga was passed in at 1300. One-eighth share in the p.s. Samson was sold to Mr Sinclair for 1510. One-eigth share in the steamers Express ahd Wanganui were also offered, but were passed in at 1250 each.
