DUNEDIN PRESBYTERY.
The quarterly,' meeting of the ‘ Dunedin Presbytery thiS morning at the First Church., There were present—Rev. Mr Greig (Moderator), Drs -' tuart and Copland, Revs. Gow, Johnstone, Sutherland, Watt, Finlayson, Russell, Mackie, Will, M‘Naughton, and Blake. Elders : Messrs M‘Kay, Miller, and Borrie. CHURCH EXTENSION. Collections for the Church Extension Fund were reported to have been made as follows :—East Taieri, Port Chalmers, Knox Church, Apderson’s Bay, Green Island, North-East Harbor, North Dunedin, Kaikorai, First Church, and West Taieri. Collections were not made at Cavershaui, North Taieri, and St. Bathans. £. CHURCH UNION. Dr Copland moved:—“ That this Presbytery declare its approval of the basis of union with the Presbyterian Church in the North in the report of 1873, and in accordance with the Synod’s instructions remit the same to Church sessions to report to next quarterly meeting of the Presbytery.”
Mrp. Bonne seconded the motiou, white pitted Dr. Coplands motion. _ Rev. W. Will aa*te tide, and the motion was eventually carried. * [Left sitting.]
