CAVERSHAM ROAD BOARD.
The Board met last evening in the School-room, ■when there were present Messrs Eutlierford (in the chair), Carey, Brady, U’Een, Bridgman, Jackson, and Wilson. The first business was to make arrangements for the annual elections, which take pl ice on Thursday, Bth June, when one-third of the Board retires. This year Messrs Carey, U'fien, and Wilson go out. The following were ap■vpeinted Returning Officers; —Mr Jackson for % the _ Higher Sun • division ; nomination and polling place, the School • house, Caversham. Mr Bridgman for the middle subdivision; nomination and polling place, Hillside toll house. Mr Brady for the lower subdivision; nomination and polling place, sohoolhouse, Porbury. Passed for payment to Michael Bowles for rotten rook for North Ward, Ll4 17s; and to Win. Cocks, L2l 15s : 91, for blue stone metal for North Ward. A meeting of committee appointed at a public meeting lately held took place afterwards, to take steps to forward the resolutions then carried to the proper quarters.
