CHURCH PARADE.
To the Editor.
Sir,—-I was so glad to see that “ A Volunteer ” is proposing to his brother volunteers that they should have a Church parade, because Alice and 1 do so like to See the fine fellows, with their nice bright uniforms on. When we were in we used always to leave our own Church to attend the one where the parade was held, and so did a lot of other young ladies, although they pretended that they had jast dropped into that particular church quite by accident, and not with any intention of admiring the volunteers. Please, Mr Editor, write one of your nice leaders about it, and stir them up a little; and if you manage to get them to turn out I will be so glad, and I am sure that the reverend gentleman who may have the pleasure of preaching to them will not complain of a dearth of young lady listeners. Alice joins me in sending Icye.— Yours, &0., Maude. Dunedin, May 20.
