The settling over the Randwick Races has resulted, so far, satisfactorily. w Somememberg of the ring are losers to the tune, it is said, of several thousands, having manfully stood to Richmond all through. A.T., the winner of the Cup, is said to have drawn L 20.000 in winnings for his backers. v A toottin« race for LIOO a-side came off on the Chnstchurch Racecourse on May 2nd. between two horses owned by Messrs Gatherer and Kirkwood, the former mvinjr one mile start in five. A capital start wai effected, but Mr Gatherer's horse went very 1 ?/ the , turf »»d ultimately broke\ aid Mr Kirkwood won easily. Both horsci were ridden.
