THE DE MURSKA CONCERTS.
The feature of last night’s concert, which was capitally attended in all parts of the theatre, was, of course, Madaine’s rendering of the mad scene from “Lucia,” which was a great treat, and fully merits the high praise that has been bestowed upon it. The lights and shadows of the plaintive introduction, “II dolce suono,” are admirably pourtrayed, while nothing could be finer than her execution of the intricate movement which precedes “ Spargi d’amor.” At the conclusion of the aria, the accompaniments to which were played by Signor Giammona with much taste and feeling, the applause was loud and long, and when the sceua was ended Madame had again to bow her acknowledgments. Her other efforts were the polacca, from Puritaui, which was encored, a German song being substituted ; and Giorza’s pretty waltz, “ Per Sempre,” which she finishes with a most surprising note. Of the rest, it need only be said that Signor Susini was thoroughly in his element in “La Colunia,” from “II Barbiere, ” and with Signor Rosnati sang a duet from ‘ * Elisir D’Amor ” with great effect; that the latter, befng encored in his first song, gave “La Donna e Mobile” in fine style; that Signor Giammona’s flute solos pleased greatly, as they always do ; and that Mr Hill’s arrangement of “Mollie Darling” is decidedly taking. The next concert is announced for Friday.
