The amount of revenue received at the Custom, house on goods cleared for consumption this day was 11,15917s lOd.
Mr Henry Driver (on behalf of N.Z.L. and M.ACo) reports for week ending May 3,1876 Fat Cattle. —250 head were yarded at the market to-day, and although this was a large supply all sold with the exception of about 20. Prices were about the same as last week, best pens of bullocks realismg from L 9 to Ll3 10s : cows from L 7 to Lll, or equal to 32s 6d to 85s per ICOlbs. for prime quality. Fat Calves.—Only a few penned, which brought extreme rates, say from 35s to 70s each. Fat Sheep.—3,ooo of all sorts were penned, and best cross-breds sold at from 12s to Us 6d • Merinos, 7s to 9s 6d, or about 3d per lb for former! per lb for latter. Store Cattle.—Quotations remain unaltered, sav, for good bullocks, L 6 10s to L 8; ditto cows, L 4 to I". During the week we have sold 150 head. Store Sheep.—No alteration on last week’s report has occurred, a fair demand still existing for 4 and 6-tooth cross-breds, for turnip feeding.
