THE MOSGIEL RACES.
The Secretary (Mr Doyle) informs us of tbe following scratcbings for to-morrow’s events:—Master Rowe, for tbe Trotting Race; Naboucblisb, for tbe Taieri District Plate and Taieri District Farmers’ Purse.
There was a pleasant day’s racing at Duntroon, a township thirty miles up the Waitaki, on Friday. The Maerewhenua Cup, for which Deception, Eambleaway, Nora, and Wild Irish Girl went, was won by the first-named; tbe Trotting Handicap by Bushman, the Shepherd’s Purse by Idle Girl, and tbe Consolation by Wild Rose.
