A ship to the southward was signalled at the Heads at 1 p.m. to-day, and the Geelong shortly afterwards proceeded down, and will tow her up this evening. besteamer Colima was taken out of the Graving Hock last evening and moored in the stream, when she at once commenced to take in her coal.
The schooner Janet Ramsay 'arrived yesterday evening with loss of anchors at the Heads during the gile on Wednesday.
Messrs WMeekau Blackwood's fine s.s. Otago arrived at the Hads at 9.30 p.m. yesterday, after a boisterous passage from Sydney via West Coast and Northern ports. She left Sydney at 4 p.m. Os the 12th; encountered a succes-
sion of heavy easterly gales, with thick weather until arriving off the West Coast at noon on the 18th, whero she anchored owing to tbo thick weather, which prevented her being tendered until the following day, when she discharged cargo and pushed on for Greymouth at 6 p.m., at which port she was immediately tendered and left for Nelson at midnight on the 10th ; had strong hiad winds to arrival at that port at ill p.m, on the 20th, but owing to tho heavy weather she was detained until 7 a.m. on (ho 22ud, the pilot not deeming it prudent to lake her out) ; arrived at Wellington at G p.m. the same day, and left for Lyttelton at 2 p.m. on the 21th, arriving there next day; took on board 3CO tons of cargo, but was prevented leaving, owing to the heavy south-west gale; the weather having sdghtly moderated she left at 10 a.m. on tho 27th; shortly afterwards tho wind increased with a heavy sea, a wave breaking on board and carxyingaway her flaire-head. The vale moderated at 2 p.m. ou the 18th, and she arrived as above.
