Sydney, April 28. The Assembly has verbally decided to confine the Government banking operations to the Bank of New South Wales.
Melbourne, April 28. At a meeting held on Wednesday a resolution was passed affirming the desirability of establishing an Australian and Eew Zealand Shipping Company.
The Customs authorities are carrying out their threat of opening and examining the goods of Stevenson and Sons.
