■, To the Editor, Six, —In your issue of Saturday evening bat, when noticing some cricket items which appeared in the ‘ Otago Licensed Victuallers’ CHusetto ’-pf that day you speak in the same breath ofthe 'loss of the Dunedin Cricket Club’s score-book, and your readers, with a wy slight stretch of the significance, might ihfer that I was the purloiner, through whose fault the daily journals have not published the cricket averages. Please allow me to acknowledge my indebtedness to the above journals, as, in congruence of the loss of the score-books, I was c6mpelled jfco gather my information for compiling batting averages from the files of tfaeir isaaeß,>nd must , thank them for the fegularity of their .cricket reports.—l am, Cosmos.
