DUNEDIN FOOTBAL CLUB.
The animal meeting of the Dunedin Foothall Club, which was held at the Shamrock Hotel last night, was well attended. The retiring committee, in their report, congratulated the club on their success during the past season, during which they played six outside matches, of which they won four (including that against Auckland) and drew two with the Union Club. The Association’s rules have given the greatest satisfaction, and in conclusion the report expressed the hope that a Dunedin team might be got together during the ensuing season to make a trip North and to try conclusions with the clubs there. After discussion, it was decided to raise the annual subscription from 5a to 10s; to use the oval as before ; to play according to Association rules, and to make a donation of L 5 to the Dunedin Cricket Club’s funds for the use of their pavilion during the season. Professor Sale and Mr W. D, Smith were re elected president and’vice-president respectively; Mr J. C, Thomson, appointed captain ; Mr Henry Rose, deputy-captain; Mr F. R. Smith, secretary; and Messrs A. K. Smith, T. Macfarlan, W. Cargill, G. M. Thomson, and G. Dixon, committee.
