THE OPERA.
The filth representation of “ La Fille de Madame Angot” drew a: capital circle and a tolerable downbtairs attendance to the theatre last night, and, with the exception of the prompter’s voice being Heard a little too often in the second'act, the performance left nothing to he desired. As usual. Hiss Harris’s solo in the first act, the conspirators* chorus in the second, and the quadrille in the third received encores ; while the duet between Clairette and Miss -Lange carried the audience beyond the bounds of moderation. They were not satisfied with its repetition, hut persisted in hearing it a third time, and Madame ana Miss Lambert were good-natured enough to oblige them. The spirited acting of the two ladies in this scene fully deserved the applause it received. To-night, “Madame Angot ’’ will be played for the last time, and we advise those who can enjoy a hearty laugh to avail .themselves of this opportunity of doing so to the fullest extent.
