Smith; thirteen in the steerage, March 30.—Samson, p.s., 124 tons, Edie, from Oaniaru. Passengers: Mr and Mrs Priest mid family (8), Mrs Starkey and family (3), Mr and Mrs M'Donald. Miss Guard, Messrs M'Laren, Price, and Alexander; twelve in the steerage. SAILED. March 29.—Tauranga, schooner, 51 tons. Divers, for the Bluff, Dogmar, schooner, 45 tens, Connor, for Gatlin’s River. Express, s.s., 136 tons, Eraser, for the Bluff. March 30.—Pioneer, schooner, 25 tons, Mattheson, for Shag Point. The p.s. Samson, with a full cargo—including 216 bales of wool for tin ship May Queen—arrived at Port Chalmers from Oama.ru at a late hour last night. Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood, and Co.’s s.s. Albion arrived alongside the railway pier at 6.45 p.m. yesterday from Sydney, via West Coast and Northern ports. She left Sydney at 4.55 p.m. on the 15th, experienced strong southerly winds and adverse sea to arrival nt Hokitika at 11.45 a.m. on the 20th. Called at Greymonth, Nelson, Wellington, and Lyttelton, and left the latter port at 3.10 p.m. on the 23th’; experienced'strong head winds and heavy sea to arrival. She leaves this evening for Melbourne, via the Bluff.
