CRICKET.
Two matches were played on Saturday. The D.C.C. had a scratch match, Marshall and Clark choosing sides from an eleven. Marshall’s five madp lOg, Cargill (not out) contributing 28, Olhver 17, Marshall 22, and Taylor 13. On the other side Clark was not out with 46, and Dixon made 31. The match Albions v. Citizens was a hollow defeat for •the former, who brought together a most indifferent team. For the Citizens Leith made 26, M'Neil 25, Haskell 22, and Fagan 14, while the extras reached the large number of 31. The innings closed for 140 Thei h’ghest scosers for the Albions were Wells and Miller, with 7 each, the eleven being disposed of for 25.
The monthly meeting of the Lodge of Dunedin will be hold in the Masonic Hall to-mc riow at 8 p.m. . The successful competitors in the Royal Horticultural Society’s Show are teminded by advertisement that the prizes will be paid at the Occidental Hot 1 to morrow (Tuesday), at 8 p.m.
