In tiie general market a fair aVebage business has been transacted. A few slight changes have taken place in prices, though not of very serious moment. C aud.es, in which an inclination to speculation was manifested some weeks ago, have not sustained the temporary advance, and may now be bdilght at lOd, at which several transactions have taken place. Kerosene remains unchanged. Brandy has suffered a further fall, Henuessy’s case being purchasable at 30s. JDKZ geneva is in full supply, and may be quoted at 12s to 12s 6d. Dried fruits are in fair demand—Sultanas command 8d to &id ; entrants, 4d to 4£d, Oilmen’s stores aro more generally inquired for. Morton’s pickles have been sold at 9s to 9a 3d. Vinegar in bulk has improved, and now commands 2s 2d. Salad dls in pints, 10« «d, Dairy ■produce still commands high prices.
