Absent Without Leave.—Francis Stephen and Edward Carey, seamen belonging to the ship Oamaru. were charged by Captain Stewart with being absent'without leave on. ’the rveiling of the, 28th. They pleaded guilty.— From the evidence “of * Constable Livingston, it appeared about 8.40 last evening he met the prisoners- carrying a box along George: street,; and knowine they were seamen he detained! them/ His 'Worship them to be imprisQßpdfor four weeks with hard labor. crviij cases. ' •

James Gadgman.— L 5 8s tor three weeks’ 1 rent of cottage and value of a’fowl-house removed by defendant.— Judgment was given for plaintiff for 18b, with costs of court 13s. The claim for the fowlhouse was disallowed.
