Wellington, February 22. The perpetrators of the Witchcraft murder, At Tairua, are with the Urlweras, who will, it is believed, give them up. This will strengthen the hands of the Government in securing the Epsom murderer, who is supposed to have left the Piako,

Napieb, February 22. Richard A. Sherrin, late editor of the * Wananga,’ was charged at the Police Court to-day, by Edgar Whitaker, solicitor, with embezzlmg L 3 ss, the money of ±i enare To Mona, the proprietor of the papier. Mr Sheehan appeared for the prosecution, and Mr Lee for the defence. The case lasted all day, and was dismissed.

Hokitika, February 23. The Qtago left Sydney at 2.30 p.no. on the 17th inst., and experienced SW. winds with heavy sea the voyage. She brings no English news of importance beyond that wired by cable.
