AT THE MARIONETTES.
. To the Editor, Sib,—l went to; the stalls of the Queen’s The .tre lest evening to witness the performance aud would,Have.tnjoyed it immense y but for a. youth who sat hear me and persisted in cracking nuts during the whole of the.evening, in spit? of my remonstrance. Now I think that to evbryßfie 'nutSfaSEfiig fs a' iposf intolerable' nuisance, ard c rtaiqiy ought sot to be,al owed in a place of public entertainment. Surely the managemen . for their jown good and’ for: the r conJfork of thbur patrons' should turn everv-subh offend- r but; but ih-ydid not do to on this occasion, although one or two gentlemen wiere’obllgbd cd leave their seats, and no others being available, had tb st&nd in ' the passage during, the greater part of the performance. Another gentleman complained to the manager, who‘to my surp ise did not even reprimand the offending youth, . although he promised to-do so after the entertainment was over, no doubt keeping in . mind the saying “Better late than never.” I would suggest that.be should, in future act more promptly. The doonersuch conduct is checked the better. —I am, &a, ' '. > „ .1 Osn Who Heats Monkets. Dunedin, February 18.' ; ’ "■■»■■■■■■■<——Jf . .
