Express having been thoroughly cleaned and. repainted was taken out of Murray's floating dock yesterday afternoon and towed to Dunedin by ,the p s. Golden Age, and took her departure this afternoon for her usual trip to the Bluff. T)ie s.s. Wanganui will resume hernsual'trade, leaViug for Lyttelton via Timaru on Monday afternoon. The N.Z.S.S. Cd.'s s.s. Phcebe will take her departure this evening with cargo and passengers for Northern ports. .The ketch Frankh'n Belle, with produce from Waikouaiti, arrived early this morning ana passed (tbfcjport to Dunedin. > The brig Em ma was towed down from Dunedin thiamorning and anchored off Carey's Bay. The ship Corona, having been' thoroughly cleaned an&jf umigated, was admitted to pratique this morning. The immigrants, excepting those in the hospital, were removed from the Quarantine '' morning, and conveyed to Dunedin by train. The ship Olive having dscharged her powder was removed from the quarantine ground yesterday afternoon, and moored in a convenient discharging berijh oft the old jetty; and will commence to discharge her cargo into lighters on Monday. The barque Queen of the South commenced to discharge her Dunedin "portion of sugar into tn'e railway truaks yesterday afternoon. The ship Rakaia having .been cleaned was hauled out iof the Graving' Dock' this morning, and anchored in the stream. BTie Union Steamsnjp Company are offering increased facilities for trade between Timaru and this port. The favorite steamer Wanganui has been laid on and will make two trips weekly, leaving Dunedin every Tuesday and Friday, and Timaru every Wednesday and Saturday. The rates.of freight and passage have both been reduced: The s.s. Easby having met with quick dispatch in OJschaiiging her cargo of coils and timber, will bu taken into the Graving Dock this evening to be denned, and will sail for her usual trip to Sydney via Lyttelton and Wellington on Tuesday next. !|Tlie New Zealand Steam Shinping Co:*s s.s. aranaki returned from her usual trip to Wellington iaud Lyttelton at 11.30 this morning, and steamed alongside the new pier. She left Wallington at 4.30 p.m. on the 10th, arrived at Lyttelton at 11 a.m., on the 11th, leit again for Port Chalmers at 1.30 .p.m., arriving as above.
