The betting was in favor of Perfume, Izaak Walton, and Kingfisher; 5 to 1 being laid against anything else. Mr Walters declared to win with the colt. Perfume led till entering the straight, when Kingfisher had to go up alongside to shepherd him while Izaak W alton was brought up on the outside. An exciting race ensued between the three, Perfume occasionally having a little the best of it; but after a gallant struggle the mare had to be content with being a good third.
