Timaro, January 29. The * Timaru Herald ’ this morning states, from an official source, that the General Assembly will meet in June. The exact date is not fixed. The ordinary prorogation will be gazetted immediately.

Auckland, January 29. The City of San Francisco has arrived. She transhipped the mails to the Mikado at Eandftvu, waited ninety hours for the arrival of the English mail, but it not arriving, came on. She proceeds South next Tuesday. The Granada is expected to come to Auckland direct with the English mails.
