Another acceptance for the Dunedin Cup was received by the Jockey Club per telegram on Saturday morning, making twenty-seven horses left in the race. Knox has sold his entire racing stud, including Empress and Kathleen, both well-known mares in the past. There is to be no autumn meeting at Weliuglington this year. The Mount Ida Jockey Club is supposed to have fallen through, owing to a lapse in the collections or attendance of members. The Oamaru meeting has been fixed for March 2 and 3. Nearly L4OO will be offered in prizes.
