PRESENTATION.
A very pleasmg ceremony took place this afternoon at tho Occidental Hotel, when the employes of the ‘ Guardian’ and ‘ Mercury’ Printing Company presented to the late editor, Captain Baldwin, a very handsomely illuminated address, expressive of the very high appreciation iu which he was held by those who had lately served under him. The presentation was made by Mr G, Fenwick, manager of the paper, who, in a few well-chosen words, expressed the regret which all in the office felt at the retirement of Captain Baldwin from the editorial office. Captain Baldwin suitably responded, and there were afterwards seteral toasts of the usual character.
