Drunkenness —David o‘Fagan, for this offence was lined 5s or 24 hours; Richard Moore, a similar penalty ; and Richard Moore, 40j, or 14 days. Neglected Children.—Annie (11), Rachael Esther (8), Clara (5), Edward (4), and Alice (1) Messurier were charged with being neglected children, f ergeant Anderson deposed that the children’s father was of dissipated habit ', and the mother was at present in the Hospital suffering from a broken 1 ;g. The family lived in a wrttehod hovel off • acl iggan street, and in tliia miserable place there was no furniture and not a scrap of food. The children were sent to the Industrial School fortwelve'months.
