WASTE LAND BOARD.

The Waste Land Board met at eleven o’o ock to-day ; present—the Chief Commissioner (in the cha’r), Messrs Bastings, Butterworth, Clark, and Strode, Mr Harris applied, on behalf of Mr D. S. Trotter to purchase an addi.ional ten acres of land on run 323, required for a woolsbed. Approved, up to thi ty acres His pre-emptive right on run 212 was refused. The report of the Warden at the Arrow on the application of Edward Burrows to occupy five acres on st c ion 25, block 6, Wakatip, was approved. Pui chase allowed subject to survey. John Cameron’s application for a lease f section 2, block 8. Shotovcr district, for grazing purposes, was refused. James Gumming, as administrator of the estate of the late John Gumming, applied for transfer ot license to Isabella Gumming, his sister. Administrator to comply with the law. James Chalmers’s applcation to purchase one acre, section 90, block 5, Tuapeka East, was agreed to on condition of receiving the Engineer’s recommendation. Price, L 5 per ao re.

Henry M‘Neill’s application to purchase land at LI per acre, Table Hill district, was approved. H. C. Clayton’s application to purchase sections in Tuapeka West was approved. Felix Dunkowske’s application to exchange agricultural leases for land on deferred payments, was approved. The consideration of the petition of the inhabitants of Hawksbury to have the sections of land lying to the east of Edinburgh street open for sale, was postponed Mr Wilkin’s application to purchase section 3, block 3, and 4, 5,6, and 7 sections, block 2, Greytown, were referred to tho engineer. Mr Harris applied on behalf of John Flynn, to have the notice of sale withdrawn of the section he holds on deferred payment, on the ground that through ignorance he had not complied with the occupation clauses of the -let by not residing on the ground. Application refused, but two months to be allowed him to remove his crous.
