SOUTH DUNEDIN MUNICIPALITY.

The South Tmnediu Municipal Council held their second meeting on Monday, at the Forbury School; jncaont—the Mayor and all the Councillors. After various matters of minor importance had been disposed of, the Council resolved Ihut the salary for the combined offices of Town Clerk, assessor, and collector be at the rate of L 125 per annum. The Council then resolved itself into committee to consider the applications for tha above offices, and, after a ballot bad botu taken, it was announced that Mr Andrew Rankin was elected by a majority of votes. The Council then adjourned till Thursday evening next, at 8 p.m.
