Drunkenness. —Thomas Wood, arrested by Constable O’Brien in George street, was fined 40s, with the alternative of fourteen days’ imprisonment. Prisoner was at that fime in his employment as servant, but left a week afterwards.— 'elective hendereon stated that, alter Jthe robbery had been repoited t > him, he discovered that the brooch had been pawned at a shop in Walk-r street. He subsequently apprehended accusal, who said she _ found the brooch on the reclaimed ground behind Fagan’s Hotel.—Prisoner Lad nothing to say.—The Bench considered the evidence against htr very strong, and confirmed by her own admission, -he would be sentenced to one month’s imprisonment with Laid labor.— Jane Martin wa-. also chaiged with stealing the brooch.—Accused it appeared had pawned it for 6s, on behalf of her sister (the last prisoner), and told prosecutor that she found it in Battray street two months ago.—She was committed to gaol for fourteen days, with Laid labor.
