Drunkenness.— Thomas Paul was lined 40s, with the option of seven days’ imprisonment; John Summers alias Adams, and James B. O’Flaherty, each 20s, or three days’ ; Isabella Uarris 20s, or 48 hours’. Celling.—Thomas Robson, of Kensington, was charged on remand with selling a b >ttle of beer without a license. He was fined L2O and costs, Mr E. Cook defended. Larceny as a Bati.ee. —Daniel .M'Millun, laborer, was charged with fraudulently disposing of a hor-e of the value of 1,30 at Timaru on July 7, of which ho was the bailee. — Accused lured the horse from one Jame; King, atTimaiu, saying that ho wanted to goto a country station for cattle, and would bo away a weGr, but ho never returned. The horse, saddle, and bridle were sold to Robert Cameron, stable-keeper at Oamam, for Lll. Prisoner was committed fo; trial.
