GAROTTING AND ROBBERY AT CHRISTCHURCH.
The following are the particulars of the garotting case at Riccarten, referred to in our telegrams yesterd iy • —On returning irom town on Sivurday night, Guttler, who resides by himself, fell asleep in a chair, and was roweed by the door being broken in, -ait before ho could turn round to ascertain the cause, a monkey jacket wan thrown over his head.
