CONCERT.
There was a very good attendance at the Temperance Hall last niehi, on the occvsioa of the sacred c >ncert in aid of the organ tund of Ail Saints’ Church. The severa items on the programme were all fair ly rendered. The well-known and favorite choruses, “ And the Glory of the Lord,” “0 Father, whose Almighty Fewer,” and “ The Heavens ar:. telhng ” were effectively sung, but would have been all the better of a few more efficient sopranos. God is a ISpi it” was sung v-ry nicely, the audienc not beiug satisfied till they heard it a second lime. Of the solos, decidedly the best was “U I that I had wings like a dove.” “ Every valley shall be exalted,” and "Angels ever bright and fair, ’. were well sung ; but the gentleman who essayed "But thou didst not leave,” and " My nativo worih ” was over-weighted. He has a tenor voice of fine tone and register, but he wants the execution and eonfidenco which practice and good training alone tan impart. The concert ou the whole w-is vsry enjoyable, and we hope the result will in terially benefit the Organ Fund of All Saints’.
