CLERICAL INCONSISTENCY.
To the Editor. I Sir,—l eoo by the ' Christian Record,'—by 1 the way not a very robust paper -that a public bruukfast is pnrtaken of eveiy.Sundo.y morning at Munay's rooms, under very Christian auspices. Now, sir, I want you to tell me I wherein this differs in principle from the running of Sunday (rains, etc., auainst which an outcry is no loudly, and I suppose rightly,
made by theseisame gentlemen. If they must come together would it not be better to have an early breakfast on 3orae other day, failing that then a light late supper. It appears to me that the logic or consistency of these breakfasters is sadly out at tho elbows. On what principle they can Bay to their neighbor that he ought not to tak-- the train or stpamer to Port Ohalmers or elsewhere after breakfast I don't pretend to know; perhaps you or some of these gentlemen may be able to tell me if principles change say after 9 a.m. Waiting for a reply, I am, &c, Consistency. { Dunedin, December 12.
