The final competition for the Bolt of the North Dunedin Hifles took place at six o'clock yesterday morning at their range.- the morning was beautifully fine, but a half gale of wind prevailing at 600 yds prevented any tall shooting being made. Below we give the totals of the first stage, together with the extended scores made at the final stages by the highest six ac the finish, by which it will be seen that Vol. J. Mitchell, by his excellently steady shooting throughout, is the winner, and becomes the wearer of the trophy for the ensuing twelve months.
