CONSULTATION CHESS MATCH BY TELEGRAPH.
The third game of this match between the Lawrence and Dunedin Cubs (b.ur on each sidei was resumed last night at half-past seven o’clock. About eleven o’clock the Dunedin players saw that ir must end in a draw, and were willing to make it one, but the Lawrence players thought they had tather the best of it and would not consent. Play was continued in con equence till half-past one o’clock, when the Lawrence representatives were convinced that there was no hope of either side winning, so it was agreed at last to make it a draw. Tois will necessitate at least another game being played, as the match stands thus at p esentDuueJin, 1 garni; Lawrence, 0; drawn gams, 2. ‘.me club must win two games. . he time is not vet fixed for the next game. Great interest is still manifested iu this m.itch.
