The committee of the Dunedin Jockey Club met last evening to consider the question of admitting two nominations for the Spring Meeting that had only reached the secretary that morning, the advertis d ime for their reception being last Saturday evening, before 8 p.m. The late entries wese Mr W. Davis’s (Timaru).Seven Bells and Mr Doyle’s (East Taieri) Euclid. After discussion it was resolved that the wording of the programme—- “ that nominations and entries will not be received after the time stated” be sti ictly adhered to. and the nominations in question were therefore not received.
