Jn the la-t Office Savings Batik 2,952 new accounts were opened during the quarter, and 2 251 ace; ■diva were dosed. There were 14,49-1 deposit*, and 9 3C7 withdrawals, the total amount of d. posits bung L1(5u,960 4s 4d, and of withdrawals L 162,073 4-* 7d. In the Welingtou ottice 'here was an exc ss of deposits over withdrawals of 1.2,663 4s 9d. In l>unediu Hokitika, Auckland, and Invercarfill the withdrawals exceeded the deposits by ,7,514 3h lid.
