THE TIMARU SHOW.
This show was held on Wednesday and yesterday, but the Press Agency hailed to supply us with any intimation of its progress on either day; nor is the list of prizetakers now furnished complete. It is estimated that 3,500 people were present. The principal prizetakers were : -For Merino Cup—The Canterbury ana Otago Association, with 28 points. Leicester Cup-Tancred and Port Chohute, 23 jioints, Lincoln Cup—C. and O. Association, 24 points. Gold Medal for best merino ram Charles Moyer. Gold Medal for best longwooled ram—C. and 0. Association. Cup for Cattle—Postlethwaite, 23 points. Gold Medal for best bull in yard—Matthew Holmes. Cup for best draught entire—A. Martin’s Knockdown. Cup for largest prizes taken in draught horses—Fleming and Hedley. Gold Medal for best draught mare-A. Wellwood. Gold Medal for best thoroughbred—Teschemaker’s Talisman, lieid and Gray, of Oamaru, took first prize for reaper and mower combined, first for reaper first for farm cart, first for double-furrow plough, first for chaff cutter, and first for harrows.
