A HOUSE DIVIDED.
To the Editor, Sir,— For some days a Bee in aid of the building fund of All Saints’ Church has been advertised for this evening. In to-day’s papers the Bishop of Dunedin is announced to deliver a lecture this evening in the All Saints’ Schoolroom, to the members of the St. Paul’s and All Saints’ Young Men’s Associations. t£ow is this 7 Does the Bishop not approve of the frivolity and worldlinesn of spelling and pronouncing bees? Has his reverence announced his lecture ns a counter attraction in tho way of an intellectual treat for the thoughtful aod intelligent young men of 3t. Paul’s and All Saints’, who are a- ove the sphere ot the bee influence? If this is the case, I hope the Bishop will receive bis reward. Or is it possible that there ts a division in the All Saints’ camp, the conflicting entertainments being the result,—l am, &0,, Obskrvbb. Duaodin, October 22.
