Judgment was given for plaintiffs, with costs, in the following ca<«es :—Hoffernm v. Dickenson, 13s, goods .supplied ; Black, Thomson, and Co. v. Bnteman, Lls 19a 3d, timber supplied; Hennessy v. Svmth, L 4 17s, for rent; Marshall v. Dickenson, LI, for rent.; N. Wood v. W. Savage, L 34, work supplied; Gk Perrimau v. Alex, M'Kinnon, LlO 13s 4d, goods supplied. Knott v. Macgregor.—This was a fraud summons. His Worship ordered that if payment be not mad.. Y.y October 1, defendant should be impiuoed for twenty one days. Brogden and Sons, of Wellington v. George Smart.—Claim LlO for rent. Mr Smith for plaintiffs, Mr Barton for defendant. This case was adjourned from the previous day. His Worship determined that U■: had no jurisdiction.

"ises were disposed of Mr Bathgate made a request to the Bar to cooperate with him in endeavoring to expedite the business of the Court, which was steadily increasing, by confining themselves strictly to the facts of the cases, statin? that the days fixed for the Court business'had formerly been Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but in consequence of the large amount of business he had latterly, to suit litigants, to sit on Tuesdays and Thnrp.fkys also. Sittings on these ihyj uad been prolonged till as late as five ard aix o'clock, and although he might himself be dn:po»ed to sit daily till so late an hour, if he did 30 it would prevent the legal gentlemen from paying proper attention to other equally important branches of legal business ; and moreover he had no right to expect the officers of the Court to sit in continuance so late.
