Auckland, August 19. The Football Club has resolved on an interprovincial tour. The team, which will probably number twenty members, leaves about September 7. The Newton electors last night passed a resolution opposed to the passing of the Abolition Bill till the voice of the people had been heard. Timaru, August 19. At a public meeting at Temuka last night. Dr Rayuer, M.P.0., in the chair, a resolution in favor of the Government measure was passed unanimously.
