The amount of revenue received at the Custombouse on goods cleared for consumption this day was L 1.443 6s Id. THE LABOR MARKET. Mr Skene reports that the inquiry for out-door laborers during tbo week closed has been quiet. Indoor employments are busy. Wages Day-labor pick and shovel, &c.,Bs, 9s, and 10s per day; ploughmen and shepherds, from L 52 to L7O; couples. L/ 6 to L9O and L 10 0; handy men about dairy, farm, and station, 15s to 20s per week; cooks, grocers, waiters, bar, &c., 20s, 255, 30s, and up to 60s per week ; blacksmiths, 40s to 60s per week and found ; carpenters, bricklayers and masons, 10s to 15s per day; female servants, L 26 to L 52 per year; smart a nd girls, 5s to 15s per week; storemen, 30s to 60s per week.
THE GRAIN MARKET. Wheat is in good demand at 4s 2d to 4s id for ordinary quality; best milling, 4s 6d and up to 4s 7d has been given for a few choice samples. Oats ore plentiful, and may he quoted—feed, 2s 7d to 2s 8d; mdbng, 2s 9d to 2s lOd. Flour, LlO to LlO 10s. Pollard, L 6. Bran, L 4.
