FIRE AT OAMARU.
[By Telegraph ] (From our own Correspondents) . . . „ , Oamarc, August 3. A boy in the employ of Larkin and Boxalls, painters, upset a kerosene lamp at 10.15 last night, and in a few minutes all the shop was in a blaze. The flames spread to Mrs tjpencer’s drapery establishment, Mr Spencer’s (cabinetmaker) shop, Mr G. W. (Draper's (fruit shop, and Mr Feme s butchery. Strenuous and successful efforts were made to save Mr M'Laren’s boot and shoe establishment. At eleven o’clock Boxall s. Draper’s, Spencer’s, and Feme’s rbops were in ashes. Messrs Larkin and Boxall were insured for .L 200; tne other places were uninsured.
