(From the Morning Pod.) Count Soliohub, of the Ministry of Justice at St.^ Petersburg, has forwarded to the Howard Association, 5 Bishopsgato Without, London of which body he is a corresponding member, n photograph of tire tomb of John Howard, who died near Kherson, in the south of Bus da, eighty-five ycais ago, January, 1700. The tomb consists of a plain obelisk, surrounded lw a circular walk in which is a largo gate of ironing the photograph, the Count remarks * ! Owing to neglect anti the lapse of time, some of the stones of the obelisk have fallen down. I have therefore brought the matter under the ua;ico of the Minister of th ; Interior, and he has given the needful directions respecting it. The municipality of Kherson will erect a new monument before long, and it is already being prepared- When completed L hope to be able to send you a photograph of that also.”
