RE TRAMWAYS.
To the Editor.
BlK,—Your correspondents of last Monday signed “Progress” and on Saturday last signed “Fair Play”ar#no doubt one and the same author if not the actual writer. “Progress” states that my writing against granting Messrs Anderson and Mowat's tramway must proceed from a personal grudge; and that I have given myself a wrong name by signing myself “Justice.” I beg to state that I would not do justice by keeping silence when the life and limbs of her- Majesty's subjects are placed in danger. This alone induced me to caution the City Council through your columns against granting permission. ” Since then I have pointed the same out to many of our ielectable citizens, and every one was of tr.y (-pinion._ As Fto the tenor of my writing shewing a vindictive spirit, I leave the public to judge. To satisfy “ Fair Play ” and “Proyeas,” “Justice” is not nsbaraed of signing his true name.— I am, &c., S, Bpesino-rb, V.S, Thin "Jin, July IT.
