THE PRINCESS'S THEATRE.

To the Editor.

Sir,—-Iti noticing the performance of “ Hamlet” at the above theatre on Wednesday night your correspondent “ Dress Circle” omitted to mention a matter, which to those who attended the lower part of the house, must be admitted ns important. On that occasion the noise c .used by parties moving about and walking along the passage benind the seats prevented half of the audience from hearing what the performers sail. I would suggest to the management that a strip of cocoa-nut matting laid clown the several passages would be attended with advantage.—l ani, &c., Pit. Dunedin, July 9,1873.
