CITY POLICE COURT.

Monday, July 5. (Before Y. Pyke and A. Mollison, Esqs., J.P.’s.) 1 Drunkenness.— Arthur Scott, George Wilkinson, and Edward Alexander were respee tively fined 6s, or twenty-four hours. Henry Nasymtl and Henry Liskey forfeited their bail. Obscene Language. Frederic Hnbcraft was charged with committing this offence in George street at four o’clock on S-unday morn ing. Mr Aldridge delended, and pleaded that the words stated by the arresting constable to have been used were not obscene within the meaning of the Act.—The Bench were of the same opinion and d'snrsaed the charge.
