The attempt of young Scott, the pedestrian, to beat Edwards’s time in the recent feat of walking 100 miles in twenty-three hours fiftyfive minutes is fixed for Friday week, at the Queen’s Theatre. Austin, Scott’s trainer, has issued a challenge, offering to take LIOO to L2O that the little fellow will beat Edwards’s time by fifteen minutes; and also to match him to walk eight da;s afterwards against Edwards from one to seven miles against time. Fish, jun,, City Councillor for South Ward, will, in a few days, address the ratepayers .forming his constituency, when, doubtless, his action in the matter of the widening of Princes street will be fully gone over.
